Scaffolding calculator

Scaffolding calculator: area, parts list and price

Enter your facades and choose a system: the calculator works out the bays, lifts, area, parts list, transport weight and an indicative price plus VAT – for used scaffolding of the major brands or new CETRAC scaffolding.

2 Facades

Material estimate for a standard facade (steel decks, complete equipment, integrated access, ties) – not a structural calculation. The manufacturer’s instructions for assembly and use and, for new systems, the approval are authoritative. Prices calculated with CETRAC rates, as of .

How to use the calculator

Measure every facade to be scaffolded: the length of the wall and the height up to the point where you need to work (eaves, parapet, top of the gable). The calculator adds 30 cm overhang at each free end, divides the facade into bays of 2.57 m or 2.50 m depending on the system, and places the top deck no more than 1 m below the top of the wall.

For a gable, each bay is given the wall height at its centre: the scaffold steps up towards the ridge. The result adds up the facades; for facades joined at a corner, the actual parts list is slightly shorter.

What next?

Send your calculation as a quotation request: we check the composition, adapt it (brackets, widening, roof edge protection, nets) and offer you the closest used package in stock, or new material. Further reading: calculating scaffold area, price of used scaffolding and scaffolding weight.

Frequently asked questions

Is the price shown a final price?
It is an indicative price plus VAT and freight, calculated for a standard facade scaffold (steel decks, complete equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions). The quotation takes your actual site conditions and the available stock into account.
How is the area calculated?
For each bay, the bay length is multiplied by the scaffold height (number of lifts × 2 m) plus 2 m of guard rail above the top deck. This is the area used for the price per m².
Can I calculate a whole house?
Yes: use “Whole house”, enter length, width and eaves height, and the calculator creates the four facades. For a gable wall, choose the “gable” shape and enter the ridge height.
Why does the price per m² fall as the area grows?
End parts (end guard rails, standards, base jacks) and access weigh less in the total as the facade gets longer. Large areas therefore cost less per square metre.
Are the new MODUX and MGS-A systems already available?
SPEED can be ordered now. MODUX and MGS-A are available from 2027, the approval procedure has not yet been completed; the calculator already gives you the price range to plan your investment.
