How selling works – three steps

  1. You describe your stock

    System, approximate quantities, general condition, a few photos and the address of your yard. There is no need to count everything: an order of magnitude is enough for an offer.

  2. We set a price per item

    You receive an offer with a fixed price for each type of part. On request, an advance is paid once the prices are agreed.

  3. Collection and settlement

    Our trucks load at your yard. What is loaded is counted and paid, with a separate statement for each load.

No inventory required

You estimate – we count at loading

Nobody knows the contents of their yard down to the last coupler, and we do not ask you to. Just give us rough figures. The price is fixed per piece before collection, and then every piece actually loaded is paid. If there is more material than expected, you receive more; if there is less, you do not pay back anything on a badly estimated lump sum.

What do we buy?

Scaffolding

Frame and modular scaffolding in steel or aluminium: Layher (Blitz/SpeedyScaff, Allround), Altrad Plettac (SL, Contur), Hünnebeck (Bosta), Scafom-Rux (Super, Variant), PERI UP, Cuplock and other systems by arrangement. Also stair towers, mobile towers, brackets, lattice girders, nets and sheeting.

Formwork and shoring

Wall and column formwork (Doka Framax and Frami, PERI Trio and Maximo, Hünnebeck Manto and Rasto, Meva), slab formwork (PERI Skydeck, Hünnebeck Topec, Doka systems), timber beams, props, stacking towers and accessories.

Complete fleets

Liquidation, retirement, takeover or reorganisation: we take over the whole fleet, small parts and stillages included, in one or several rotations. You clear your yard and turn idle equipment into cash.

Which condition do we accept?

The material must be technically sound. Normal signs of use are no problem. Slightly bent frames or formwork panels that need new facing are often bought, because we refurbish them. Scrap, tubes perforated by corrosion or decks with torn-off hooks are not accepted.

A cleaned lot achieves a better price; lots straight from site with concrete or mortar residue are accepted too – we take care of the cleaning and allow for it in the price.

What makes a lot valuable?

  • The system: widespread systems resell easily and therefore fetch better prices.
  • The condition: galvanising, straight frames, intact hooks and rivets on the decks.
  • The balance: a complete set (frames, decks, guard rails, braces, base jacks) is worth more than odd parts.
  • The quantity: the larger the volume, the lower the freight cost per piece.
  • The logistics: truck access, a forklift on site, material sorted by type.

When can I sell?

At any time of year. We plan the collection around your schedule: between two jobs, when the yard closes, or in stages if part of the material is still in use.

Preparing the collection

  • Group the material by type: frames, decks, guard rails, braces, small parts.
  • Use existing stillages and pallets; we tell you how to pack the rest.
  • Make sure a semi-trailer can reach the yard and, ideally, a forklift is available.
  • Give us the access times and the name of the person present at loading.

Invoices and VAT

CETRAC is a German company. Between VAT-registered businesses in two EU countries, the sale is usually invoiced without VAT under the intra-Community rules; for sellers outside the EU, the purchase is an import into the EU. We tell you which details the invoice needs. If in doubt, ask your tax adviser.

CETRAC Rebuy

Bought from us, bought back by us – for up to 5 years

Did you buy your scaffolding from CETRAC? As long as it is in technically perfect condition, we take it back within 5 years of the purchase date, at a price only 15 % below the list price. You invest knowing in advance how to exit – for example at the end of a large project.

Switching systems?

If you want to move from frame scaffolding to the MGS-A system with advance guard rail, an exchange is often better value than a sale.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to count all my material before contacting you?
No. An estimate is enough, for example “about 400 frames, 300 decks, matching guard rails and braces”. The exact count is made during loading, and that count is what we pay for.
How is the price set?
Before collection we agree a fixed price per item (frame, deck, guard rail …) with you. You are paid for every piece that is actually loaded, load by load.
Can I get an advance payment?
Yes. For larger fleets an advance can be paid as soon as the prices are agreed; the balance follows the loading count.
Do you buy small quantities?
Yes, as long as it is a coherent lot of one system. For a handful of loose parts, freight often costs more than the material is worth – send us the list and we will tell you honestly.
Who arranges the transport?
We do, with our freight partners, across Europe. You prepare the material; loading is done by forklift or as agreed.
My material is dirty or slightly damaged – will you still buy it?
Clean material achieves a better price, but we also take lots straight from site. Slightly bent parts can often be repaired; only scrap is excluded.
Do you take over a complete company fleet?
Yes – closure, retirement or restructuring: we take over the complete scaffolding and formwork fleet, including stillages and small parts, in one or several truck rotations.
How does Rebuy work?
Scaffolding bought from CETRAC that is still in technically perfect condition can be sold back to us within 5 years of the purchase date, at a price only 15 % below the list price.
